PENANG, 9 JUL 2026 – Setsco QAV Technologies Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of QAV Technologies Sdn. Bhd. and a joint venture between QAV Technologies and Setsco Services Pte Ltd, today officially announced its launch, marking a significant milestone in strengthening Malaysia’s testing and certification ecosystem. The new entity is set to serve key players across the electronics manufacturing, automotive, and industrial sectors in Northern Malaysia by delivering extensive locally accessible compliance solutions.

The momentous occasion was graced by the presence of YAB Chow Kon Yeow, Chief Minister of Penang, alongside Dato’ Loo Lee Lian the Chief Executive Officer of InvestPenang.

The establishment of Setsco QAV marks a significant milestone in strengthening Malaysia’s testing and certification ecosystem. By offering a comprehensive suite of services—including Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Testing, Product Safety Testing, Energy Efficiency Testing, Acoustic Engineering and Measurements, Over-The-Air (OTA) Wireless and Antenna Testing, and International Certification (GMA)—the company aims to support businesses in meeting global regulatory requirements while accelerating product development cycles.

The event featured speeches from Chief Minister, and Setsco and QAV leaders, a ribbon-cutting by distinguished guests, a traditional lion dance performance, and a guided tour of the new laboratories’ facility.
