PENANG, 5 JANUARY 2026 – V-Chip, a subsidiary of Sai Microelectronic, a China-listed company and the world’s largest MEMS foundry, officially established its new IC Design facility in Penang in September 2025. This significant milestone marks a new chapter in the company’s global expansion and reinforces Penang’s strategic role in the world’s semiconductor landscape.

V-Chip plays a clear and essential role in the semiconductor ecosystem by serving as a core partner that supports clients from concept to silicon success. The company provides comprehensive end-to-end services across the entire product development lifecycle, including architecture planning, IP selection, design verification, Custom Analog Design and physical design.

This integrated approach ensures clients achieve success at every stage of their design journey.

Known as the “Silicon Valley of the East,” Penang is not only the heart of Malaysia’s semiconductor industry but also a crucial hub in the global electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
