“Toray has successfully established Toray Malaysia Systems Solution (TMS) Sdn Bhd with MSC status based in Penang to provide “Global Business Service” to its group of companies locally and abroad.
“TMS is expected to create over 100 new jobs in the next 2 or 3 years. Currently the company has a total of 50 employees and this is Penang’s very first GBS investment by a Japanese MNC (multi national company)
“ As Penang continues to establish more centres of excellence for science and technology, we are pleased to note that Toray Malaysia has contributed some RM300,000 towards the Tech Dome project in 2015 with the ultimate aim to help Penang train and produce more engineers to meet the needs of industries,” said Deputy Chief Minister II Prof. Dr P. Ramasamy after officiating TMS at SPICE Convention Centre today.
TORAY Group (Malaysia) is wholly-owned by Toray industries Inc.(Japan) which is one of the pioneers in Penang’s industrialisation programme and the company expanded its business operations in Penang through the establishment of Toray Malaysia Systems Solutions(TMS) Sdn Bhd.
TMS was established on May 2 with a RM5 million investment injected from Toray Japan and was certified with the MSC (Multimedia Super Corridor) status by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).
It provides “Global Business Service” to its group of companies locally and abroad and these IT services include systems study, design, development and operation of information systems.
