November 18 – Manufacturing operators and technicians who are seeking job opportunities can check out two new job portals.

The digital platforms – OperatorPengeluaran.my and Technicians.my – were built for manufacturing operators and technicians. It is also a place for manufacturing companies to select the right candidates for the jobs.

The platforms were successfully provided, thanks to the cooperation of Goche Corporation, Agensi Pekerjaan Megan Millions, Pink Label Conferences & Events and Penang Skills Development Centre (PSDC).

Pink Label Conferences & Events director Yvonne Toh said the OperatorPengeluaran.my managed to draw nearly 7,000 jobseekers within a few months of its launching.

“We emphasised on its user interface so that it is easy for the applicants to apply jobs using the portal.

“The language used is Bahasa Melayu. It only takes three simple steps and less than five minutes to apply.

“We have also worked with PSDC to promote the Technicians.my.

“We have various categories of technicians in the job portal,” she told a press conference in Komtar today.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow thanked the corporations for providing the job portals.

“The digital platforms provide more opportunities for Penangites to search for jobs.

“Since 2009, the Penang government through the Penang Career Assistance and Talent Centre (CAT) has continuously worked to attract and retain talent in the state.

“Penang Youth Development Centre (PYDC) set up its career search portal in June this year to help the rakyat, especially the youth, to find jobs.

“Based on a report by Jobs Malaysia Centre, there are 5,485 job vacancies in Penang as of June 30,” Chow said.
