Mar 31 – Committed in cultivating Penang’s talent pool, Boston Scientific, a world-renowned medical device manufacturer has recently contributed millions of in-kind donations to University Science Malaysia (USM) and Penang State of Education Department (JPN).

RM1.5 million worth of donated items, including tables, microscopes, shelves and calipers were donated to USM to help in setting up labs in the university’s Advanced Medical & Dental Institute and Engineering School.

On the other hand, with the purpose of igniting the STEM interest among students, the company has also donated 232 units of Leica Microscopes, 114 units of Biofit chairs, 41 units of Workstation Tables, 56 units of Digital Soldering Irons, 328 units of Etched Table Top Boards and 8 units of pH Meters for JPN to utilize in schools around Penang.
