On 10th March 2018 (Saturday), the Penang State Government through investPenang & @CAT Penang will officially launch the USD 1 million Penang i4.0 Seed Fund, specially customized for local tech startups.

In our efforts to realize Penang’s mission to become the Silicon Valley of Asia, the Penang i4.0 Seed Fund is established to further enhance and develop the local start-up industry, encapsulating ‘Powered in Penang’ capabilities. Managed by investPenang via @CAT Penang, the Penang i4.0 Seed fund is aimed at providing funding for new inventions and encourage innovation to help create awareness and increase participation in the Industry 4.0 revolution & digital economy currently sweeping the world. It is only then that Penang can realize its full potential as the regional hardware hub and Asia’s Silicon Valley as cited by British Broadcasting Corporation’s (BBC) recent report.

The official launch, which will be officiated by our Guest-of-Honour, The Rt. Hon. Mr. Lim Guan Eng, Chief Minister of Penang, will highlight key details about the programme.
