Event Background:

In order to enhance the transformation of Penang into one of electronic manufacturing and sourcing centers in the world, the Shenzhen Terminal Electronics Manufacturing Association (TEMA) is organizing the International Electronics Elite Forum and Run (IEEFR) 2019 in Penang from August 16 to 18, 2019. This event is co-organized by investPenang, endorsed by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and the execution units are IEEFR Sdn Bhd and Actifestyle Concept Sdn Bhd. Nearly 300 guests including YAB Chow Kon Yeow, the Chief Minister of Penang, and His Excellency Lu Shiwei, Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Penang were invited to attend the forum.

Event Highlights
The organizer has extended invitation to about 200 local industry leaders in Penang. At the same time, about 100 Chinese electronics manufacturers and leaders of China’s electronic equipment manufacturing companies, including ZTE, were also invited to participate in this event. Elites from the electronics manufacturing sectors in Japan, South Korea, Germany, and the United States of America were also invited to the event.

The IEEFR 2019 will emphasize on the importance of Penang and Malaysia in the global electronics industries; participants will have the opportunity to understand on the capability of electronics manufacturing, technology and opportunities available here. It will also facilitate and promote stronger collaborations between the local companies and foreign companies from all over the world.

The organizer is also collaborating with PSDC to organize the International Electronic Elite Run on August 18, 2019. The run will be divided into 7 categories to cater for the different needs of the participants and expect to attract more than 1,500 participants.
