CORAZA will be expanding its footprint in Penang by constructing its new plant, P3, in Nibong Tebal, its managing director and chief executive officer Lim Teik Hoe announced that the P3 plant would add approximately 83,000sq ft to their total floor space.
“Upon the completion of this facility, our total combined floor space would reach about 300,000sq ft.
“As we have grown aggressively over the years, generating value for stakeholders, we remain committed to harnessing human potential and contributing to social development,” Lim stated.
Lim recounted Coraza’s beginnings in Penang in 2001, operating out of a rented premises in Seberang Jaya.
“We started with a built-up area of about 46,000sq ft, producing sheet metal piece parts for a single multinational corporation in the test and measurement instruments segment,” he said.
In 2004, Coraza purchased industrial land in Bukit Panchor, Nibong Tebal, marking the start of its journey in the south Seberang Perai district.
“We completed our first plant, P1, in 2006, with a built-up area of approximately 93,000sq ft.
“This milestone propelled our growth in revenue, customer base, and manufacturing and engineering capabilities.
“We expanded our product offerings from sheet metal to precision machining components, including frames and structures,” Lim explained.
Lim highlighted another significant achievement in January 2022, when Coraza attained listed status on Bursa Malaysia’s ACE market.This success was made possible by the contributions and support of our valued customers, suppliers, employees, and the Board of Directors,” he noted.
In 2023, Coraza further expanded its presence in Nibong Tebal by acquiring a ready-built facility with a built-up area of 53,000sq ft, named P5, which is now in the final stages of equipment installation and commissioning.
