A significant step forward for Penang’s semiconductor ecosystem as the Federal Government, through the Ministry of Economy, announced RM25 million under RMK13 to support the establishment of the Malaysia Automation, Testing and Equipment (ATE) Campus in Penang at the KL20@Penang 2026 – Silicon Surge.

With 10 acres of land provided by the Penang State Government, the campus will serve as a platform for talent development, industrial technology qualification, co-development, testing and the deployment of Malaysian-made ATE solutions – building on Penang’s established and robust ecosystem.
