July 24, 2024 – KLS Martin Group, with a rich heritage in the medical device industry since 1896, has inaugurated a new service centre in MWE plaza to host its regional sales and service team as well as housing its new biomedical engineering activities to support medical implants design.

The new expansion supports the growth by KLS Martin Group in Malaysia which started its presence in Malaysia back in 2014 with its manufacturing operations in Bukit Minyak, Penang.

Dato’ Loo Lee Lian, Chief Executive Officer of InvestPenang, stated “Penang is indeed proud to host KLS Martin for almost 10 years, which also signifies the confidence that our investors from Germany have placed in Penang. Penang is often lauded as a vibrant medtech hub of Asia. I am optimistic that KLS Martin will continue to reap many benefits from its operation in Penang.”

The new setup was officiated by Dato’ Loo Lee Lian – CEO InvestPenang, Mr Karl Leibinger – Member of the Group Supervisory Board, Mr Christian Leibinger – Group Managing Director & Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Mr Michael Martin – Group Managing Director, Christian Markgraf – COO, Dato’ Hans Brenner and Mr Gilles Waeldin (respectively outgoing and ingoing Managing Directors of KLS Martin Malaysia and KLS Martin SEAsia).
