Capital Markets Malaysia (CMM) and the Securities Commission Malaysia introduced the national Simplified ESG Disclosure Guide (SEDG) for SMEs in Supply Chains in October 2023, primarily tailored for Malaysian SMEs. This guide aims to offer standardised disclosure guidelines, facilitating companies in collecting, monitoring, and reporting data beneficial to stakeholders such as customers, investors, and regulators.

Since its inception, the SEDG has garnered significant interest in businesses seeking to embark on their ESG reporting journey.

To further bolster the adoption of the SEDG, CMM has curated a series of workshops across Malaysia dedicated to support the sustainability journey of Malaysian SMEs. These workshops offer valuable insights and practical guidance for seamlessly adopting the SEDG. In 2024, we will be organising four workshops, kicking off in Kuala Lumpur.

For the upcoming workshop in Penang (supported by InvestPenang and Penang Green Council) is scheduled as follows:
