The GBC serves as a central hub, providing sales and customer support to global customers. It is one of three Clarivate GBCs that deliver world-class services, with the other two based in Chandler, Arizona and the Serbian capital Belgrade.<\/p>\n

\u201cHere at Clarivate, we believe human ingenuity can change the world and improve our future, \u201d said Shankar Nagalingam, vice president for the Clarivate GBC in Penang.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur vision is to improve the way the world creates, protects and commercialises innovation and we offer solutions that drive the entire life cycle of innovation for scientific and academic research, pharmaceutical, biotech and healthcare intelligence and intellectual property services.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Shankar, Clarivate hired 130 colleagues to support the local operations. The GBC has extended multi-lingual capabilities, supporting customers in English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean, and have plans to expand its competencies for Arabic, Hindi, French and German clients.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are now launching our Clarivate Graduate Acceleration Programme (CGAP) to continue building an elite talent pipeline, \u201d said Shankar.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are proud to offer a 12-month programme which enables graduates to experience working in a corporate environment and accelerate their career journey.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are also planning to expand our footprint in Malaysia and will be hiring another 150 to 200 colleagues over the next 12 months. The Penang GBC is thriving as a regional centre of expertise and I look forward to welcoming new talent this year.\u201d<\/p>\n
