My Penang, My Workplace, a campaign organized by InvestPenang via Penang CAT Centre, is aimed at attracting an influx of talents from across Malaysia and making Penang the Northern growth region in the country.<\/p>\n

Under this campaign, a webinar series entitled Onwards & Upwards: Explore New Careers in Penang, with joint participation together with industry leaders from across varied industries, provided key insights into their esteemed organization in terms of work culture, cutting edge technology, growth and career opportunities. This initiative is a continuous effort to elevate Penang\u2019s position as a workplace of choice. Apart from active jobseekers, a majority of our participants are final year university & college students from both local and private institutions all across Malaysia.<\/p>\n

Our first 2 series were held on 29 March and 8 May 2021 respectively and each featured multinational companies and local large companies, namely Micron, Clarivate, Keysight Global Services, ViTrox (#1) and Jabil, Pentamaster, Teleperformance Malaysia including ManpowerGroup (#2). In our recent, Onwards & Upwards: Explore New Careers in Penang #3 which was held on 21 August 2021, our webinar featured speakers from LAM Research (Mr Zaiem Meah \u2013 HR Director), DELL Technologies (Ms Ooi Su Yin \u2013 Accounting Director, APJ Revenue Accounting), Analog Devices (Ms Sia Hui Ping \u2013 Regional Finance Director) and Greatech (Ms Koay Lin Lin \u2013 Chief Financial Officer). During this session, apart from highlighting the uniqueness of their respective organizations, our speakers emphasized the wide spectrum of structured talent development programmes covering different levels from internships to graduate development and leadership programmes, all of which to support talents in their integration and internal progression within the organization. Participants also had the privilege to learn the different compensation and benefits offerings, including a feel of the CSR and humanitarian initiatives of each company. In their closing thoughts, speakers candidly unveiled their personal career experiences and imparted invaluable advice.<\/p>\n
