The event will be held at the Setia SPICE Arena & Convention Centre and is now open for registration<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Themed Forward as One \u2013 Building A Resilient and Sustainable Electronics Supply Chain in Southeast Asia<\/em>, SEMICON SEA 2022 will gather experts from around the world for insights into the industry\u2019s most pressing issues, including topics pertaining to the environment, sustainability, and supply chain resilience.<\/p>\n

President of SEMI Southeast Asia, Ms Linda Tan said, \u201cAgainst the backdrop of global supply chain disruptions, the semiconductor industry has had to take a long look at its entire value chain and find solutions that would ensure business resilience and agility to adapt to rapidly evolving global circumstances along the way. SEMICON SEA 2022 therefore provides a timely and relevant platform from which industry players may gather to find solutions through dialogue, knowledge-exchange, and partnerships.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPenang is pleased to host SEMICON SEA 2022, a return after our previous hosting in 2014 \u2013 2016. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Penang\u2019s industrialisation this year, the State\u2019s sustained excellence and robust industrial ecosystem make it a suitable venue to host SEMICON SEA 2022, where it consistently tops the nation\u2019s foreign direct investment recipient list, clocking a total of RM76 billion in manufacturing investment in 2021. Driven by its position as the country\u2019s leading electrical and electronics (E&E) hub, Penang has accounted for over 40% and 50% of the country\u2019s annual trade surplus and electrical and electronics (E&E) exports respectively since 2018,\u201d said Dato\u2019 Seri Lee Kah Choon, Special Investment Advisor to the Chief Minister of Penang.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs one of the strategic partners in SEMICON Southeast Asia 2022, InvestPenang will be hosting several events over three days, demonstrating Penang\u2019s transformation and core competencies along its journey towards 50 years of industrialisation,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
