He said as a world-class hub to numerous international and domestic investments as well as excellent infrastructure and good governance, there will be more stimulus for new investments and reinvestment in the state.<\/p>\n

“BBC<\/em>\u00a0yesterday in its news quoted that Penang is Asia’s Silicon Valley,” by saying the state is punching well above its weight in the tech world through hardware manufacturing.<\/p>\n

“Equating Penang to the way Silicon Valley developed, local engineers from big tech manufacturers are leaving to strike out on their own, creating a growing ecosystem for tech start-ups”, he said during his speech at the relaunch of websites under the Penang Development Corporation (PDC) Telecommunication Services “Integrating Data to Future-Proof Tomorrow at The Top Komtar today.<\/p>\n

He said PDC Telecommunication Services are currently working on the Penang Digital Transformation Plan which will be ready in 2018.<\/p>\n

Lim said it will be a roadmap that will bring Penang to a new social -economic level, by transforming industries with technology adoption.<\/p>\n

“With efforts made today, Penang will be ready for the telecommunications challenges of the future,” he said.<\/p>\n
