Although it has yet to be unveiled, Lim said the slogan would be in line with Penang\u2019s achievement as not only a clean state, but a greener, healthier and safer state that is well-known worldwide.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe biggest achievement for Penang is when the city is recognised as one of the cleanest in Asean countries.<\/p>\n

\u201cCongratulations Penang! It is only fitting that our tourism theme is \u2018Cun-nya Pulau Pinang\u2019,\u201d he said at the flagging-off of \u2018I Love Penang Walk 2018\u2019 in Beach Street yesterday.<\/p>\n

Although Lim did not elaborate the meaning of \u2018Cun-nya Pulau Pinang\u2019, the word \u2018cun\u2019 is Malay for gorgeous or pretty, which literally means \u2018Penang is gorgeous\u2019.<\/p>\n

Earlier, some 7,000 participants took part in the 5km walk held within the heritage enclave of George Town.<\/p>\n

Also present were Penang Island City Council mayor Yew Tung Seang, secretary Addnan Mohd Razali and Gelang Patah MP Lim Kit Siang.<\/p>\n

Note: The Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) has declared George Town, Penang as one of the cleanest cities in the ASEAN region back in January 2018.<\/p>\n
