\u00a0DCM Witnesses Launch and MoU Signing with PSDC<\/em><\/p>\n

PENANG, 18 JUNE 2025<\/strong> \u2013 KUKA Robotics Malaysia has officially launched its new Penang branch in Bandar Cassia, Batu Kawan \u2014 reinforcing its commitment to advancing industrial automation and robotics innovation in Malaysia and the Southeast Asia region.<\/p>\n

The ceremony was graced by\u00a0YB Tuan Jagdeep Singh Deo, Deputy Chief Minister II of Penang, alongside senior representatives from the\u00a0Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI),\u00a0Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA),\u00a0InvestPenang, and key industry leaders.<\/p>\n

This Penang launch follows the successful establishment of KUKA\u2019s first Malaysian office in Puchong, Selangor, which was officiated by Puan Yeoh Bee Yin, then-Minister of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment, and Climate Change. The Penang expansion marks KUKA\u2019s strategic commitment to supporting northern Malaysia\u2019s growing role as a high-tech and smart manufacturing hub.<\/p>\n

In conjunction with the opening, KUKA signed a\u00a0Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)\u00a0with the\u00a0Penang Skills Development Centre (PSDC)\u00a0to collaborate on robotics training and workforce development \u2014 a key initiative aligned with Malaysia\u2019s Industry 4.0 vision.<\/p>\n

YB Tuan Jagdeep Singh Deo, Deputy Chief Minister II of Penang stated, \u201cWith over 50 years of industrial excellence, Penang has built a dynamic ecosystem that not only attracts global investments but also fosters innovation and technological advancement. The expansion of KUKA into Penang reflects the state\u2019s growing reputation as an advanced manufacturing destination.\u201d He added, \u201cThe MoU signed between KUKA and PSDC is a strategic step forward, opening new avenues for collaborative innovation and the development of future-ready talent in high-tech fields.\u201d<\/p>\n

The event featured speeches from government and KUKA leaders, a ribbon-cutting by distinguished guests, a traditional lion dance performance, and a guided tour of the new facility. The Penang office also houses an\u00a0Application Center showcasing KUKA\u2019s robotic solutions\u00a0across sectors including electronics, automotive, logistics, and medical, as well as a\u00a0Swisslog AutoStore demo, representing KUKA\u2019s intralogistics arm.<\/p>\n

Over 100 invited guests attended, including media, customers, system integrators, educational partners, and government representatives.<\/p>\n
