Geography
The latitude of Penang is 5° 25' N, whereas its longitude is 100° 19' E. While Penang Island is surrounded by water, Mainland Penang is bordered by the State of Kedah in the north, demarcated by the Muda River and east, and the State of Perak in the south.
Penang is dotted with some famous outlying islets off the coast of Penang. Among the islets are Pulau Jerejak, Pulau Aman, Pulau Kendi and Pulau Rimau
